Nice to see France win on THREE stellar goals...Spain could only cough up a PK...

WOW!!! What a match!!!

Spain were heading 4 more goals before france gets the equlizer...

in the 2nd half, it started 2 get even...

france 2nd goal, was that a foul by poyol?? if it is really then he's just a little bit dumm, the french guy wasnt going 2 get the ball...

but the 3rd goal was amazing, zidane had some of his old magic (i remember Juve's days)

2 goals in the last 10 mins gave france the victory...

i hope france will play like this against brazil, not like complete loosers like they were in the 1st round, i hope we'll c a good match...

Hey, what's up with the Brazilian hate? Because Ronaldo is now the new record-holder in World Cup goals?

Wink

England 2-0 Portugal (England finally play their game)
France 2-1 Brazil (Zaidane does it again)
Germany 1-1 Argentina (Germany wins on PKs)
Italy VS Ukraine ( I really dont care. they are both bad teams...OK maybe 1-0 for Italy!)

Germany has been playing well because they homefield advantage otherwise they don`t have the players to win the world cup.

By the way I hope Germany beats Argentina.

One more thing your name "Bimmerista" sounds a bit Italian.

I agree that Germany has a young team with less experience, but they have their best WC record since the 1970s (won all of their first round games).

With the emotional lift from playing at home, if they get into the final anything is possible.

Italy has a problem of too many stars on their team - in principle, against Ukraine, they should pull to the semis though. Italy Germany in the semis would be an instant classic game.

Good game France-Spain; a good thing that France won by more than 2 goals since the penatly kick for goal two was a bad ref call IMHO.

Can't wait for Argentina Germany Friday.

My on-line name is a take on the name of Ferrari F1 fans "ferraristas".

Its the first time a hear of a German fan in Montreal. For the most part everyone seems to be Brazil fan and an Italy fan.

Hhhaha baseball is like beer, its def an acquired taste. I used to hate it.

Today at the game, a little kid got jacked!! He was sitting by the 3rd base line, and the padre player adrian gonsalzes hit a SHOT right to that section, and it hit the kid in the face. He was unconscience w/ a broken jaw. Poor thing!! I sit in the foul ball sections, and everytime they come flying by I stop, drop and roll. Aint going near those things

I use to like Baseball till we lost our team.

Today Italy will win I hope Luca Toni scores two goals. He scored 31 goals in Serie A this year.

I also wish toni would score today, he did his best in the WC but was really unlucky

i dont mind if Inzaghi scores as well

but my expectations is that Lippi wont put his best players in, he might sattle down with a normal 1-0, 2-1 win, cuz he's gonna have one hell of a match with Germany or Argentina in the semi
just my expectation...

I think Lasagna has the easiest quarterfinal...if they can't beat Vodka well they didn't deserve to be there...Germany will win too.

Lippi will play a 4-4-1-1.

Grosso, Barzagli, Cannavaro and Zambrotta on Defense.

Perrotta, Pirlo, Gattuso and Camoranesi in the middle.

Totti in front of the Midfield.

Toni as the finisher.

According to me they should play 4-3-1-2. Put Zambrotta back on the left, Barzagli and Cannavaro in the middle and Oddo on the right. Perrotta, Pirlo and Gattuso in the middle, Totti in front of the midfield and two finishers Inzaghi and Toni.
