Heater Core Flush Tutorial
No, I don't have a tutorial - am looking for one. The heat is fine, I guess, but the car is 15 years old, so I'm looking at this as PM more than anything else. Lots of threads on here talking about it, but nothing walking you through an N54 that I could see. I *think* know how to do it, but have some questions.
-- Looking at the firewall, I think I can see where the coolant supply/return are, but I'm not sure which is which? The upper or lower? -- Also, given that the supply/return are kind of buried below other engine components, looks like I'll have to connect the flush/drain connections elsewhere, probably closer to the front where the supply/return hoses meet the radiator. Does anyone have a recommendation where I can connect? -- Lastly, I was going to introduce CLR or Ironite to help loosen up calcified deposits. Anyone know if this is not a good idea on BMWs?..
