2 step backfire?
I'm fully catless with magnaflow mufflers, jb4, intakes, and 2 step and my car does not even make a popping noise when I come off the 2 step and any RPM. how can I get a neat little pop/flame out my exhaust when I hit the 2 step?
like this https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...0h_XoK1lRZxLJA I know you all think its stupid, pointless, ricey, whatever I just want to do it and move on |

These cars run leaner because of direct injection it would most likely have to be built into the tune to go rich during 2 step or something in order to get the "Pop"

My 2 step is the same way. I'll get backfires every so often on a 2-3 shift, but nothing like the videos on youtube. My NLS also seems finicky.

I don't know if you'd shoot flames through the factory muffler which is chambered. If you have no cats and a straight through muffler, it can happen. An old car I had did it when we were tuning because it was running so rich. Terrifying the first time it happened since I was right next to the muffler when a 3 ft. flame came out.
And OP, didn't you already start a previous post on how to get a backfire? |

finicky as in it doesn't cut spark, rpms shoot to redline and you end up chewing up clutch? i've had that issue as well. haven't been able to log, but terry said it might be that i'm getting a bad pedal/throttle signal (not 100%). Same with the 2 step holds for a second then shoots to redline. I think its the module, but can't prove it until I get my laptop to last more than 5 minutes without a charge :P

Yeah with my vrsf/hpf exhaust setup people told me they would see little blue flames on occasion. Nothing too dramatic, but methanol does cause some crazy backfires at times. I think you'd have to pretty much be running a larger possibly non stock frame turbo. Otherwise you could always run antilag or 2 step with a fairly high octane fuel setup of some sort.

I like this and I don't. I wonder if this would scare the tailgaters to back the fuck off though. Lol

The secondary brake lights are the Euro Fog Lights, so I just pushed the button to make it look like I was applying the brakes when I really wasn't, to keep people in check. |

Never thought about that. Pretty smart. Better than shooting flames at them.
