I were on the phone with Dustin the other day and he told me that with the V3 rev. 1, we should be using the firmware 107 instead of 117. He said 117 is for Rev.2 only.

I have gotten these when I update firmware (without ever starting the car):
2C73 11379 Lambda Probe Behind Catalytic Converter, Signal
2C74 11380 Lambda Probe Behind Catalytic Converter 2, Signal
2ABC 10940 Charging Pressure Sensor, Electrical
3100 12544 Boost-Pressure Control, Deactivation
2FBE 12222 Fuel Pressure After Motor Stop
Shiv said that's normal. I just clear them and they don't come back until I update the firmware again (it only happens sometimes -- perhaps when the firmware doesn't load right the first time). I've never received a 30FE, so I don't know about that one. Did you get that one after a firmware update?

That's correct, IF you don't have a BT Tool (Bavarian Technic Tool) to clear codes - obviously because if you're DME has post 29.2 software (mine doesn't ) you will likely throw a "tuner code" which will be seen when it comes time to see the dealership for something.

As stated on the Vishnu page for downloading the firmware and maps, Shiv clearly states that the latest #117 firmware and 5-29 maps are perfectly fine to use with Rev 1 or Rev 2 PROcede units.

I don't think they could make it any clearer than that. The more I read about the issues people have with the dealerships, the more I feel that people either need to invest in the Bavarian Technic Tool or upgrade to Rev 2. You have to have some way to see what codes the dealership is going to see when you take the car in for service.

In a Rev.2, the firmware update process will induce a bunch of codes since it creates an open circuit within the PROcede. Totally normal. Rev 1s avoid this by not intercepting the rear lamba sensors (no o2 sim) and incorporating relays in the harness for the MAP sensor. We knew we were going to add code reading/clearing feature in the rev 2 right from day 1.

I check all clamps to know if there is something loose but do not find anything. Codes have been cleared and car is running strong (this have been proved by a little run with an M5 in the freeway.

So, thanks to all.

I am looking to update the 5-29 maps to give them a try however they have been removed from the vishnutuning forum and replaced with 7-03 maps. The direct links to the 5-29 files posted earlier in this thread no longer work either.

Could someone who has the 5-29 maps and 117 firmware please email them to me??? I appreciate your help. Email address is flyers1470 at aol dot com.

Thanks.

You'll be fine. I was on the 5-22 maps, firmware 115 (unreleased beta maps) and it ran like a champ on my Rev I before I swapped it out for a Rev II. I was going to upgrade to the 5-29, but then a shiney Rev II fell in my hands.

See link in my sig. If you don't care about diagnostic invisibility, run the beta maps/firmware in post #2 (7-03 maps with firmware 125). If you do, use the Doomsday maps and firmware in post #1 (2-17 maps with firmware 107). It's all posted up at the download site. No need to ask anyone to email it to you.

Not yet. Currently tied up with a few others things. Hang tight. Just keep using the old doomsday maps for now.

One question:
I don't care about diagnostic invisibility as I don't have warranty. My DME software version is very old (24.x - don't remember the exhact number). Should I upgrade to newer software version? Are there any adantages of upgrading in terms of performance?

The newest BMW software is more drivable than the early software. No harm in updating. Go for it.

Lagfix fixes it. Plus, I dont think there is any lag issue with the newest BMW software.

I'd say 9 times out of 10, Fedor would knock him out in the first round. If Brock is luck, he'll catch him 1 time of out 10 and pummel him out like he did with Mir. But my money will be on Fedor every time. Plus, Brock has the manners of an ape. I dislike him greatly.

I still think it will be a tough fight, Brock is just so huge, you have to take a different approach to beat him.

Hopefully Dana White can convince Fedor to come to UFC, even though Fedor has stated he will not. Lets see how much money it takes!!

That will be an awesome fight. Sorry guys, back on topic!
