What is lift pads?
I heard whistling noise when I went over little bumps, on both HW and local roads, so I brought it to the services center.
I just got my car back, and the adviser said that they installed 4 lift pads to fix the problem, he said those lift pads will eliminate whistling noise when air blow in, they suppose to be installed during the CPO process, but somehow it's missed. where is those life pads though? My car is a 07 328xi. Dk |

there are 4 balck pads under the car used to lift the car on the rack when serviced or jacked up. if you are missing these i could maybe see that causing the noise, maybe... but regardless you still need them on your car.

thanks for the picture, i know what that's now!
I also agree that they have nothing to do with those whistling noise, i guess the adviser just bs... Actually I still hear those whistling noise when I ran over bumps, it's less serious though. Any idea what generate those whistling noise? suspension? I recorded those sound in my iphone, I can upload that here if that will help. Thanks. Dk |
