335i in winter?

Need some advice, I have a 2008 335i and not sure if I should drive it in winter? It has seen 7 winters out of 14 but It doesn't really make a difference it still is a little rusty underneath but not bad at all. Would it be better to get a beater for the winter? My province uses really corrosive salt on the roads much worst than other province's im from Ontario the car has been in Quebec it's whole life. Is it worth it or has the damage already been done? Also will need to buy new tires because I cant drive on studded tires here in Ontario.

I have a secondary daily driver that I use in the winter time......and for any time my 335i breaks down and I need to get to work (not all that uncommon).

It's always good to have a backup car.

I daily mine in winter but yeah, you can start to see the non aluminum parts do take a beating... . I assume previous owner also drove it in the winter.

Body wise I do think the car will fair well as all steel panels are galvanized. That said, I do plan to eventually get a SUV type car and that would probably become my winter daily to.

Idk if it's to late or not, I do assume not driving in the winter anymore would perhaps slow it down what has started?

It depends entirely on your circumstances. If you can afford and have a parking space for an old FWD or AWD car with good ground clearance to use just when you wouldn't be able to drive a 335 properly anyway, why not?

Up until a few years ago my winter beater was an e46 wagon. My experience is that after a few winters of salt, the damage has been done.
