Weekend car, should I change the oil sooner?

Bought my E92 in October. Its a weekend car (when weather permits up here) my question is should I change the engine oil sooner than the mileage I drive? took a quick look in the book but couldn't find a minimum monthly sugestion. sure its in there some where.

Or should I just wait till the car tells me to change the oil?

If your car gets properly warmed up when you do drive it (200F + oil temps) then no, go by mileage (7500 max) or time (1yr max)

If you are a rev to redline full throttle kind of driver, I would consider 5000 miles or 6 months

Of course, the oil choice does matter, if you are using expensive exotic oils, you can probably go more miles with hard driving

I do let her warm up before pushing it. And honestly 90% of the time I have my 3 year old in the back so the car isn't pushed.

Thanks for the info. I will take your advise.
