How do you avoid a sweaty back in your car seat?

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would drop a quick message to ask how some of you avoid having a massive wet patch on your back once you get out of the car seat.

I have to deal with excessive sweating normally in my life but the heat this summer is making my situation worse.

I normally have a spare top in my boot as a back up but it would be good to exit the car with minimal or no sweat patches at all.

had fabric recaro seats in my mk2 st,,so comfortable but any spillage..even water would stain them,,only reason i like leather over fabric..also got grand kids now,,and my son sometimes uses my other car(e46 330d) it would be in a right state if they were fabric..

I'm considering one of those office back supports made out of mesh that would allow a lot of air flow behind me, or those ventenlation seat covers that have an electrical fan attached at the bottom that blows air directly to your back. Problems is I thought something like those would be well known and popular.

Lol I guess you guys just deal with it or don't have the same issue.

Just blast the aircon as that works for me to cool everything down.

I hear exactly what your saying, I'm considering switching out my leathers for alcantara M sport cloth seats for this very reason.

The leather is roasting hot to get in to, then you get out feeling cool from the air con everywhere except your back and your arse where you've been sweating the whole time.

Leather looks the nuts but its just not as comfortable.

My problem is actually worse. If I was to do the same I would probably have a wet patch still there waiting for me when I return to the car.
I'm going to buy one of those ventilation seat cover jobs from Amazon and totally ruin the look of the car with the roof down

If it's properly hot I'll just run the car with the air con on flat out for a few minutes before I get in just to cool it down.

This has been the only drawback to my e93. If I ever own another vert, I will make damn sure it has cooled seats. One of the many things I miss about my Lexus. Having air conditioned seats in the summer and wearing dri-fit shorts was so nice.

Haha I had exactly this on my way back from work most days a few months ago! Luckily wasn't too hot in the mornings!
