No Front Plate
Those without front plates on their cars in Denver, be careful. I just got a $75 ticket for not having my front plate on the car. I guess they have nothing better to do and need money badly. I got the ticket while my car was parked in downtown.
I'm going to try to dispute it, but probably not going to win. Oh well, it's fun to give them a hard time. |

That's well known. I could have told ya that homeboy. Fyi? don't park at DIA (back into a spot) because it's Denver county too and they'll ticket you. You just have to be strategic.

What you're saying is that I should just pay the ticket. Afterall, this is my first ticket for not having a front plate in all these years not having front plates on my previous cars.

I never back into spaces for this reason.
Also, take some double sided tape to the thing the plate is supposed to go onto, and stick it on there and tell them "hey, I fixed it!" because it should be a fix it ticket. You had no holes or plate thing so you didnt put it on there. Well, then after you fix it, take it down and use some adhesive remover for the glue and your done. Or get one of these.... http://www.mfestforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8388 |

David, my bumper has two holes for the plates lol. I probably have no real good excuse.
I'm having a difficulty understanding your sentence about the double-sided tape. Put the plate on using double-sided tape, then bring it in?? |

I run a euro plate so I have to hide my front bumper but the beauty is whenever I'm parked downtown I'm usually at school.

Well, what I have is the actual thing you use to put the plate on, that black plastic thing. Anyway, attach it with double sided tape and put the plate on, or just put it on. Show them you fixed it, and then you should be okay. Now, if you get busted again for it, I have no idea what they could do, but you fixed it this time at least

If it says if its a fix it or not. Maybe they dont give you the option anymore. I dont know Ive never gotten a fix it ticket so I dont know what to look for on it, but my friend got nailed for one after a speeding ticket and he told the cop he had it off because he had just had clear bra work done and hadnt put it back on yet, and then he put it on and they waived the fine.

If it's a "fix it" ticket, David's method will work. I got a fix it ticket in another state and put the front plate on, showed them, and that was it, no fine.
I got a no front plate ticket downtown a few years ago and it wasn't a fix it ticket, just a fine. I'd recommend just paying the ticket, but good luck fighting it and if you get out of it, LMK how you did it. |

It doesn't say "fix it" anywhere on the ticket. Just for the hell of it, I'll fight it and give them a little piece of my mind about this crappy ticket lol. I may even have an attorney from my work call in lol.

Where were you parked? If you were on the street the meter maids have no mercy. I'm on Metro campus so I don't have to worry about tickets. Campus police have yet to bother me.

Dude. Fail. I was pulled over in my 330Ci by DPD for no reason at all other than the guy was bored for my front plate. Haven't been bothered since because I avoid them like the plague.

I thought it was a non-moving violation and they can only get you when you are parked or because you did something else wrong (ie speeding, etc)??

I thought so too but I still got nailed for doing the speed limit minding my own frakin business. It was an obvious violation of the law but it was a cheap ticket so I just paid it and moved on. If the city is that desperate for revenue then so be it.
