covid-19 limp mode
Hi,
I was heading into NYC this morning after being away a long time when my 2011 335i (N55) went into limp mode. Codes 2d5b vanos inlet control error; 2c58 boost pressure control, shutdown. The car has 98K miles and has been properly maintained, with the usual issues addressed. It was driving great, even (pretty much) in limp mode, and although restarting it several times did not clear the message, when I turned around limp mode went away on its own after 5-6 miles. (The car obviously didnt want to go back to NYC...) Could anyone give me a sense what this might be, or was? Could this be bad vanos inlet solenoid valve? I cleaned it/them a few months ago, when car was running rough, which it hasn't been since. (I had all recalls done as far as I know--I think there was one for vanos bolts...) Thanks so much.... |
