I would take glacier over aluminum. Only because I just hated how brushed aluminum felt in my Z4. It still freaks me out when I think of that scratchy feeling on my nails.
However, aluminum DOES look better IMO.

But, I think grey poplar looks the BEST out of all.
Classy, sporty and stealth looking.

I would go glacier too if it's not real aluminum.

The biggest regret about what I put on my car is the brushed aluminum. Pretty much everything will scratch it and the worst part is that it's non-repairable (hard to fix brushed aluminum vs polished). Scratches and dents on the center console and the trim right in front of the passenger side are the most obvious ones.

I would go a wood trim or the piano black trim or even glossy black to be honest (at least those ones can be polished out and restored). Restoring aluminum trim means you either wrap it in vinyl or replace it.

Why did you feel the need to revive an almost 4 month old thread?

Personally I think glacier looks cheap and plastic-ish so I went with brushed alum. No regrets. Yeah it dings if you're not careful. Just be careful.

Not sure if anyone answered but is the glacier trim real aluminum or plastic? Im looking to replace my dark burlwood for one of these options in my E90.

This poll is half a year old... Regardless, its plastic IIRC.
