Sorry if this has already been answered, but I couldn't find a specific answer to this question...

I'm looking at picking up a used M3 back end for my e91. That would be subframe and all bushings, all arms, and the rear uprights...but no brakes.

My understanding is that the non-M brake carriers don't fit the M3 uprights, so I'd be looking at fitting my existing uprights to the M3 subframe/arms...that should be a direct bolt-up-and-go fit, right?

If it includes the dif. you might have to adjust the driveshaft and code it.

Sadly it doesn't. Any insight into my question about the brakes/uprights?

In my opinion it have to be plug&play, no reason it doesn't fit.

i have thought to it again, and i really see no reason it won't.

One advice, if you want to change your sway bar do it now! later it is really a difficult job.

Good shout. I've already been there though, and my current setup uses an e93 m3 rear sway...that's part of the reason for swapping to the m3 subframe and arms!

I think it will require adjustable toe link and if you want to use m3 diff and axles with need different hub and bearing because I think m3 hub and bearing is only interchangeable with 135/335i parts.

Are you sure about the toe link? I thought the difference there was just in the subframe pivot location?

Realoem reports that my car uses the same bearing as 335i and M3, but the M3 has a different hub from the 335i and my car (which both share the same part). I don't have plans any time soon to go with M3 driveline anyhow...though it would be nice.

Following up Feuer comments, is part of this M3 swap include the rear subframe? If yes, the M3 subframe is different than standard E9X. If using M3 subframe, you will need the longer M3 arch shaped toe links. I do not have the M3 subframe but do run the rear M3 links including the lower camber arms with M3 specfic type struts. I like my adjustable toe links. I got them from bimmerworld and they have Aurora spherical bearings. A bit pricey at $300 though unless price has went down (doubt it).

Sorry I didn't answer your question as I don't know what you mean by "uprights".
EDIT: I rereap OP start off post and there he states ALL of the links and subframe. So you have the M3 specific toe links all ready
