Should we try to get a meet in before the end of the month? Weekend of June 22-23 or 29-30?

Once it gets delivered it should be installed and corner balanced in a week or two depending on how busy the shop is. I ping Barry every few weeks. I am not in a huge rush or I would not have waited this long. I expected it to be installed in May so I am roughly a month behind schedule. I am very excited for it as I have never owned a fancy suspension before. I think most people on this platform spend all the money to go fast in a straight line and very little on the other bits which are equally important.

I don't want to turn the boost up any more until I can safely put the power down. The car feels all flighty and dangerous when it really gets going in 3rd. So basically, I am done tuning until the suspension goes in. Which means I can't get a dyno and see what I am making.

My goal is north of 600.

I just installed my coilovers and on my first drive afterwards I got a 2E69 knock sensor code + limp mode within a mile. I don't think the coilover install had anything to do with it, just a coincidence. The code comes back immediately after being cleared so I think I just need to replace the sensor, which is conveniently located under the intake manifold

Good time to walnut blast and or convert your BOV to 1/4'' if you have not done so already.

Which coilovers did you go with?

Walnut blasting was done last year (4k miles ago) but I’ll give it a look and decide if I feel like hitting them again.

I went with KW V2s. I didn’t realize how fucked my stock suspension was until I put these in. Massive improvement in handling and I haven’t done any cornering yet, need to get these knock sensor fixed and get an alignment first. Haven’t decided on corner balancing yet.

I am honestly not sure if corner balancing is worth it. I'm still undecided honestly. If I tracked my car a lot it would probably do it. But for the street it is not going to matter at all and the car will not be 100% level as they are accounting for 200 lbs of me in the front seat. The second you add a passenger, 40 lbs of golf clubs to the trunk etc. you are now all off.

I may just get an alignment and be done with it. Even if I did track the car a good deal I would bet my lack of skill is more important then the car being perfectly corner balanced.

Yeah, I was quoted $400-500 for corner balance + alignment. Considering alignments typically cost <$100, that's a lot of money for a corner balancing a car that might see the track once this year.

Yeah that is exactly my point. A lot of money and I doubt my car corner balanced is going to make a lick of difference on the track with me behind the wheel. I'm 90% sure I am just going with an alignment at this point.

I thought you might like to see my Ohlins struts in the process of being revalved. Here is the strut tube being run on the shock dyno.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E21..._DcCLvbop/view

Barry takes apart the Vorshlag kit, upgrades some of the hardware, assembles with Loctite 222. Even the dust boots get MIL SPEC cable ties. Looking to be a very well set up suspension I think.

I'll get more pics up soon etc. Should be installed by the end of July so I can turn up the boost more!

Just bought an N54 head for $350. Might have it fully worked and throw in some high lift cams over the winter. Be fun to rev out to 8200. Another 1000rpms should make a large difference + it can breath much easier aka top end gains all over the place.

After seeing the new Supra I knew I needed to add some non-functional door vents:

I was driving on the highway and a truck kicked up a large piece of metal debris and sent it right at me, unavoidable. 3 feet higher and it would have been coming through the window, so got to be thankful there. Going through insurance, there was damage to my front bumper as well.

Yikes. That's tough. Could've been worse though, right?

Once had to avoid a flying sheet of plywood at 80mph. Took a slight scratch on my side skirt, compared to the G37 behind me which lost its front bumper.

Yeah, definitely could have been much worse. If that caught my front bumper straight on it definitely would have gone right through to the engine, was a hefty piece of steel.

Don't even want to imagine if it had came through my windshield/window.

Torgus thanks

Finally got my car back, she looks better than she was before! Shop took good care of me, interior was detailed and they even pulled the few small dings I had around the car.

Shop was 382 Collision on the Pawtucket/Providence line, highly recommend.

Would post pictures but I don't have any yet because it's raining.
