Aida is starting transit through the PanCanal. Watch the web camera. She will start with Gatun Locks, then Centennial Bridge, the Mira Flores!

The next camera you will see her on is the Centennial Bridge camera. After they pass under the bridge, the Mira Flores Locks camera is just around the corner. So, those two cameras are back-to-back. Yesterday I tracked a ship through the PanCanal (Asian Emperor) and she went through the Gatun Locks at the same time that Aida did this morning. The Asian Emperor did not reach the Centennial Bridge for seven hours, so you figure Aida will reach the bridge just after lunchtime. Sometimes the ships stop in Gatun Lake for hours, though, so it is really only a guess as to when Aida will reach the bridge. If you want to watch her on the bridge camera, just keep an eye on it today.

If I wasn't working, I could pay more attention.

I know. That has to be painful. I am an at-home mom, so this is one of the "perks" of the job. I had to stop tracking Asian Emperor yesterday to feed my husband and kids their dinner. The funny thing is, I am the car fanatic in my marriage. It's very strange, but I can't wait for my new car to ship. She'll be tracked by a pro!

AIS is just now showing her coming out of Gatun Locks, so it is way behind and not very helpful right now. AIS can be delayed up to an hour, but I typically think it is more like 30 minutes.
