You'll probably be waiting much, much longer with how many cars from other automakers have also been recalled because of Takata. I'd say just get your car back and drive it...I'm still driving mine and its recalled.

I know my wife's cousin who lives 100 miles to the north is in the same boat, no news. Both of us got our Enterprise BMWs at the same time, so we are entering into month 3.

It even seems that nothing has changed "officially" in 2 mos., except that BMW bumped the total number up to 1.9 mil. earlier this mo. There was a deadline of 8/31/16, which I have never fully understood, but it seems that something has to start by then, for priority 1, meaning 07-08 in high humidity.

Then, it seemed the next deadline was 2/28/17. Without anybody saying differently, it seems that many of us could be priority 2 with a current 2/28/17 deadline.

I would just think that if real repairs were taking place, we would see that on the forum. I can't imagine having a say 2013 M3, leasing, and driving a 328i rental, that would s***. But I have a '07 335 and can live with it....

Still waiting for mine.
Just had it done on my 2005 Mustang GT week and a half ago. Got the recall letter for that back in September 2015.

The recall letter for my 335i came back in March. Since I'm FL, my region is first priority, but who knows when the parts are available. Maybe the end of this year or early 2017? Well, I am not going to let my car sit. I'm still driving it.

That's very curious....I had the total opposite experience in that both BMW and multiple dealers stated to come in and get ur "alternate transportation," only that it was in mid April. I wonder if BMWNA has changed their policy.....I mean you have seen the form that's been posted about what is signed when a customer takes the loaner/rental...

I wonder if my dealer reps was full of it. She stated 2 weeks ago they fixed 11 and this past week another 4 came in but yet no one in the forums seems to get theirs fixed.

Because this forum population compared to how many cars sold world wide is minuscule.

True but, let's say she claims 20 cars give or take is one dealer times the number of bmw dealers across the map. You would think 1 forum member would have theirs fixed.

When I asked my SA when I could expect to get the part, he just raised his arms and said he still had E46s waiting over a year for theirs.

I wonder how come some people are "not" on the recall at this point, and they did have something done a year ago....what's the deal?

My wife's aunt with a 2006 330i is not on a recall and thought she already had an airbag fixed, and same with my aunt who has a E46 M3, not on the list and she also thought she addressed it last year.

I just had to go back to Enterprise today, it's like being on parole. Dude asked me for the keys I thought wait a sec, last month he didn't. It dawned on me he was checking the mileage. Sure enough, I looked at last month's paperwork, and the mileage was the same as when I picked up the car, so they did not enter it last month...

Then you have to consider of the size of the forum population and how many are active members.......what I'm getting at is the math behind your question is against you, the result your a seeing is expected.

Sometimes the math and reality are not in agreement....meaning the math is invalid.

Let's say you experience the ABS pump failure (aka trifecta). That failure is smaller than the airbag recall, yet, on this forum, you can find detailed instruction on how to DIY for $250, instead of spending $3,400 at the dealer. That was an amazing pay it forward--every person who finds the info here, is saving solidly. So, I too would think there would be a handful reporting they got their '07+ E9x ZSP fixed, if it were happening...just my .02...

March 07 build in Florida entire life dealer has no parts and I live on the coast in fact my house is about 200 ft from the water.
If I don't have priority I doubt anyone else is going to get much done unless they are on the inside.

I drive my BMW all the time no rental for me will drive my Jeep when I run more miles on my BMW. It is running perfect and a rental while nice for not running miles up isn't what I bought a BMW for...
Acceptable risk for me...

Don't think I will send it in to get it fixed. I'm more concerned they might f*ck up something else in the car.

Happened to my housemate.. sent his e46 m3 in for passenger side airbag and they said "the vehicle-side connector was broken" .... so they broke it when trying to get the old airbag out.

An airbag swap is pretty easy.

Well, doesn't seem like there's any info on the fix yet....but the entire topic has really made me wonder, wouldn't I be better off with the airbags disabled on my 1998 Nissan, than to have them enabled? I'm pretty sure the mfg. states they must be inspected every 10 years--dunno if that allows them to be relieved of liability--it doesn't seem to be the case with Takata...

I've been driving a Chrysler 300c for about a month, and I mentioned in a separate thread that I really did enjoy the comfort and cooled seats in that bad boy . Unfortunately, I did have a flat tire and moved into a x5 from Enterprise. For me, I drive a lot for work so this recall is actually good for me!

Should I be concerned with my new tires producing flat spots while sitting for so long? Also, I have never stored a car without really starting her up for weeks at a time. Any other suggestions from the team with proper storage practices? I am all ears.
