'11 - 335i half check engine light and no power/boost
Car: 2011 335i xDrive sedan, with JB4, BMS intake, and charge pipe... ~65k miles
Issue: About a week ago I got a check engine light come up and the car appeared to have reduced power. The JB4 showed barely 5-6lbs boost and over the past week reduced to barely 2-3lbs. I tried checking the codes on the JB4 and came up as 2C57 (Charge-Air Pressure Control,, Lower Value: Boost Pressure too low. The diagnostic function monitors the pressure measured by the boost-pressure sensor) However, when I checked the code with a code reader it wouldnt come up... Ever since then the car feels like it has no power/boost at all... I cant find any boost leaks and dont hear any air rushing/leaking out anywhere... I removed the jbc, intake, and charge pipe.... returned to all stock and still doing the same thing. Any known issues or things to look into? I have an appointment at the dealership since I'd still like to figure it out. Thanks in advance.... Chris |

Good god, I have a 2011 335i that did the same thing yesterday, same code...
After I tightened all the clamps on CP and intake, the code is gone for now. Hope it stays that way... |

Check the MAF sensor. It might be the cause of all this.
