I upgraded thinking the 12% increase (3200 lumens vs 3600) in light output would be noticeable but it really wasn't. Since I already bought and installed the 189s the 180s will just be collecting dust. If you have 180s already don't bother upgrading to 189s unless you are like me and just have to have the latest and the greatest. One noticable difference is that the 180s had a "flash down" fading style and would flash fade out when shutting off, the 189s just shut off right away without doing anything cool or even fading away. I don't believe that is coded anywhere in the vehicle and is inherent to the design of the bulbs themselves.

The 180s are already bright as fuck and is probably the best (2nd best) Angel Eye on the market. The fit, output, and life expectancy on these are above OEM quality. You will not be disappointed.























They come with the original packaging and are so powerful they require their own ballast!

Jokes aside, they are in great condition, passenger side got a little roughed up either from installation or from my adaptive motors (it's a tight squeeze in there) but is mostly cosmetic damage. Functionally they are perfect and practically new

The 189s cost me $250 shipped, and I remember buying the 180s for $220 shipped. I have the 180s posted right now on eBay for $175+shipping but I will let them go to a member for $160 shipped. I don't think that's unreasonable considering you are getting 95% of the upgrade over OEM Angel Eyes at 75% the cost!

Will fit all models e9x pre-LCI and LCI, plus other models such as E60s, e8x, Z4s, and even X5/X6
