0-60 with torque

Just did a couple 0-60 runs using the torque app and the best was a disappointing 5.6. Turned off traction with jb4 on map 5. Running 91 octane and poured a bottle of lucas octane boost in. In ds mode got a bit of tire spin and a little fishtail but I was hoping for at least under 5 sec. Anyone use this app?
I tried in manual mode and got 7 sec. The car seems really fast and whips the head back. Just thinking the app is not that accurate.

Cell phones GPS aren't very accurate. They only update once a second and the accuracy rarely is within 25ft. I got a 10hz GPS receiver to use with Torque and it's much better. My best was 4.4 with my 6MT 135i before my turbo upgrade.

Apps are pretty garbage since your phone's accelerometer (assuming it uses this over GPS) isn't particularly accurate.

I guess it depends, some apps are OBD-2 dongle connection, so 0-60 would just be based on reading the car data and completely accurate

if you're trying to use GPS or accelerometer that wouldn't be very accurate, sure

Not totally true, they can fault if there is any wheel slippage, or even other conditions.

I have seen 0-60 times on my COBB AP anywhere from 4.2 seconds up to 6.5, all with the same mods. And I am yet to this day able to get it to give me a good 1/4 mile log, it tries to tell me I'm at around 16 seconds.

The torque app does use a bt adapter via obd-2. Another thing it is supposed to show is hp..but even after a couple wot pulls it was reading my top hp as 253.

Slip at the top end could make it seem shorter I guess, but even fbo on map 7 I don't get much slippage at speed
