Yeah, the fee is $55.00 since its within the one-week period prior to the event.

They do charge a $2.00 transaction fee for online purchases. You might be better off simply showing up to the event and paying them on the spot.

Yeah, not kidding. Not a big deal since its only $2.00 but it feels like they are REALLY trying to make as much money as possible and they are even off-loading the online payment fees to the consumer.

That's actually illegal and if I was a prick, I could make VISA force them to return my fee but oh well.

...but yeah, they are pretty greedy:
No outside food or drinks -> so that you use their concession stand
No outside paint pellets -> so that you have to buy theirs at higher price

I won't be surprised if they make us buy special permits that allow us to fart in their property...

so lets just be jews about it (hey I'm allowed to say it!)

We eat lunch right before we go, then just don't eat there, we get 500 rounds included, so don't buy more paint until you KNOW you need it and split it with like 3-4-5 other guys so its cheap.

I know Seth. I agree with you that lunch before the event is a good idea. BTW, I am perfectly fine with the way they do business. Pretty much any venue like that will follow the same principle. ...like I said, no big deal at all...

ya i know but its like... its slow season for them right now... probably just picking back up. The Nick guy wasn't THAT friendly or helpful when I was emailing him so it's like, ok, do something to EARN my business.

When we went go karting the guy who booked us was there, super nice, kissed out asses, made sure we had everything we needed and showed us around a little. I didn't mind paying $4 for a Red Bull and $2.50 for a bag of cheetos.

Just an fyi...those fees are legitimately charged by their 3rd party processor and the facility doesn't see a dime of it if its anything like some of the things I deal with.

Is it BS, yeah. In the end either they are paying for it or you are paying for it. Since you do have other payment options and choose to use this one, as long as it is disclosed then you choose to pay the processor for the service.

if they wanted to charge a surcharge they should just save face and tack it on to the price of admission. and why, why does everyone say "u own a bmw" like thats justification to pay any amount of money. i know in this case its only 2 bucks but its the principle. it just gets to me

I don't always say, but in the case of $2, I'm dropping that one on you. Scrape the quarters out of you couch and pony up.

I'll try. And just for everyones sake... bring extra clothes to stay dry but also cuz you probably don't want carlos's bright pink paint on your nice dakota leather at the end of the day.
