It call comes down to your preference. If you're looking to lower your car a lot, then your only options are to either get H&R Race springs with Bilstein Sport shock/strut or KW coils.

The xi's don't really have much options. Below is what xi can currently run:
Springs only - Eibach Pro (p/n# 2091.140 for 335i); HR Sport or Race (also for 335i)

Springs and Shock combo - The springs listed above with Bilstein Sport shock/strut. I'm not sure if Bilstein HD will work, but definitely the Bilstein Sport.

Coils - KW V1 or V3 (XI Version)

I noticed you have a 330 listed on your profile, but this spring/shock and coil set up is for a 335.

Running Bilstein sport shocks (xi spec) and H&R sport springs (i spec) and couldn't be happier with the stance and ride setup.

Aside from the ability to adjust, what it the benefit of coil-overs versus a sport spring and Bilstein combo? I am not looking for a huge drop, but i would like to get rid of the roll and improve the ride (or at least keep it the same).

Adjustment is really the only benefit to coils over a spring & shock combo. I am running H&R Sports with Bilstein Sport shocks and the ride is good. The stance is about as low as I would go with the roads around me. The ride will be rather jarring though if you don't swap out your runflats for non-runflats, just so you're aware.

Thanks for the info, i thought so. I am planning on going with the Eibach and Biltein's. I have already got rid of the run flats

I installed KWV1 coilovers on my 335xi, and also replaced my stock 18" sport wheels with light-weight Apex wheels with non-runflats (wider too). I love this set up! Light, quicker and much more nimble!

I was looking at the Apex wheels as well. Do you use this car as a daily driver and what do you think so far?

The springs are about $200, Bilstein shocks/struts are around $600. Coil-overs are close to or over $2,000. That doesn't include labor, but I am planning on doing the work myself.

I thought H&R coilovers are around $1300 and KW V1 is around $1500?

+1 on the H&R Sport Springs with Bilstein setup; love how my car rides. But you should ditch the rft's since the ride is going to be harsh.

Does everybody who ditched RFT have a mobility kit, or some sort of backup? I do have AAA, but still would rather not use them to tow to a random shop.

I have a kit that I put together (all of this was purchased at Salvo Auto parts), includes a heavy duty air compressor, plug kit, a Leatherman tool and a jack. I can fit this in a small case that sit right over the battery.

Yup, that's what those typically go for, not sure where he got the "over $2k" part..

As for spare solutions after switching to non-rft's, I use Tire Shield, which is a latex formula that spreads itself along the inside of the tire and helps to plug punctures when they happen. Completely TPMS compatible. Helps provide me with some piece of mind.

Are you running spacers at all?

Why would I want this set-up then if the ride is going to be harsh and create rattles?

Would it not be better to get coilovers for a few extra $$$'s and have the ability to adjust softness of the ride.

i recently got KW v1. I love the handling and the lowered ride. It's not too harsh at all and corners so so much better.

And the great thing is the adjustability. Two days after I got them I actually had to raise them up a 1/2 inch as I was scraping in underground parking. This was done easily (by my installer).
