Its an odd error. I'd ask bimmergeeks. They are quick to respond and assist. |

Changing the $VO to remove TPMS and add FTM and then resetting the relevant modules should've been enough alone (along with removing the RDC module). |

I just completed this with my 2001 335i xDrive with CIC
Just a few notes: 1. RDC module on this car is located inside the right-rear (passenger side) wheel well behind the fender liner, to the rear of the tire. Remove the lower two 8mm bolts and you can easily flex the liner enough to unplug the module. 2. With CIC you will need to add $265 to the VO, in addition to removing $2VB 3. I'm using bootcamp on a mac, running Windows 10 to do this stuff. Of note, you will need to hold down the fn key while hitting delete to get $2VB out of the list. Just hitting delete does nothing. 4. For this car I reset the following modules CAS, KOMBI, BDSC, CIC. Note that if you did any previous coding to these modules this will reset that to default. The M3 link earlier has the code changes if you do not want to reset the modules. You will initially get an error for the FTM system, as well as the DSC/ABS christmas tree. The DSC stuff will go away once you cycle the car off and on, and for FTM just reset it through iDrive. After that it will take a good 2-3 miles of driving for it to activate. Nice to finally have no service warnings |

Thread hijacking - I successfully coded out TPMS by following previous instructions HOWEVER : When I start my car FTM system is active and everything works fine but with the first detected wheelspin I get a FTM fault and full Christmas tree in the dash. After such event FTM system can not be reset cause iDrive says FTM system error and Reset option is greyed out.
Any ideas what could be wrong? |

Same here, thought I'd eradicated the red tire light in my single-hump 07 328i. I used a combination of protool and removing the fuses(never did find the rec). Anyway, broke loose a bit in a spirited couple roundabouts and now the red tire's back on with a serious vengeance. I guess I'll just figure out how to re-disable FTM assuming that's the source. Fuses have been removed for months with no warnings. Just got new semi-track tires and was feeling more confident yanking and banking. Blam. "You WILL see this red light and nothing else."

It will do. I did this coding using bimmercode, but didn't make notes on how to and what to change.

I believe you need to code it also in your CIC too.

Found the rds, it was above the battery behind the liners. Had to loosen a screw to remove the module (to check it was rdc written on the back). Module is white box. Put itback and disconnected cable. 2007 335i e92. Tpms light disabled…
