Silver color difference
Would you say that putting a bumper with color code 354 on a car that is 354/7 would make it stand out be obvious?
Is there even a difference in those two codes or that has something to do with production year? What is “/7”? |

There is always going to be shade variables even the same paint sprayed on to different days can have slight differences depending on environmental factors.
I know BMW paints in climate controlled but it does happen. Silver is a hard color to color match. |

Yes, it will absolutely stand out! I repainted my 330 Ci (E46) which was titanium silver, and had major difficulties to get it right.
First of all, silver is one of the hardest colors to get to match with the rest of the car. Basically, you can´t paint a bumper on it´s own even if you have the correct paint code. It will be off from the rest of the car. Silvers have to be blended into the nearby panels to not be noticable. The same paint code can have different shades, and it can differ quite a bit if you have them side by side. |
