http://www.mouser.com/Search/Product...2bVUcKxA%3d%3d Looks like they are roughly $1.40 each. I'm going to order 5, anybody else who wants one let me know, just pay shipping to yourself which should be < $1!! |

OK so I have ordered 5, anybody who wants one, let me know, no charge just pay shipping. I can honestly throw them in an envelope and probably put 2 stamps and call it a day!!
Hopefully they'll get here soon. Now I have to see about canceling the $50 order for that stupid harness! |

GOOD NEWS the connectors arrived and they FIT PERFECTLY!!!!!
Pics coming up!! So glad there's a low cost solution instead of buying a $45 harness!!! I decided to buy 5 because they were charging 6-7 shipping regardless of the amount so it cost me around 16 including shipping. The are about $1.40 each but shipping is what gets you at $6-7. So in the interest of helping out some of my e9x brethren, if any of you want the remaining connectors simply paypal me $3.50 to cover shipping and I'll send them out to you!!!! Send me PM with any questions!! |

Glad to see some excitement here!
In a nutshell, what does this finding mean for someone who wants to add some extra bass to their LEASED 2007 335i (with the decent but marginal volume stock subs under the seats)?? i.e. what has to be purchased and is any wiring cutting needed? |

The craziest thing....... got my THA1250PnP today and I have two of those adapters!!! - Even though in the manual it only shows it coming with one (for speaker outputs). My amp also has a "PnP output" right next to "PnP input" - the THA275PnP only has the "PnP input". So there is an extra plug-in adapter connected to the PnP output and it fits perfectly in the input as well.
Thanks to the OP for sending me the adapter and I will happily pass it along to the first person giving me a PM with their shipping address, as long as it is in the lower 48. One note about the amp: it is really small, and I have the bigger one! Added bonus for the THA1250PnP: remote bass level control which I am sure I will end up using. |

Ahhhh. So, one could buy this Blaupunkt amp from Crutchfield, get these connectors and hook up to the factory subs under the seats? Or does the group also recommend the upgraded aftermarket subs as well? I also assume an amp kit is still need to get power from the trunk?

thanks for the feedback!
So, does someone have all the approx. prices? Blau amp: $______ connectors: $_______ low profile subs: $________ amp wiring kit: $90 I imagine missing anything else? And to confirm, this setup requires no cutting of wires in my leased 335i with the upgraded stereo system. thanks in advance mates! |

The Blaupunkt amp inputs and outputs will be connected in between those OEM wires cut. |

Blau Amp ($130) with $20 off coupon Connectors ($4-6) Low profile Subs ($200) Amp Wiring kit (Just bought a 10 gauge RF kit for $35 from BestBuy) The prices I listed all included shipping so roughly ~$340 for the setup which isnt bad AT ALL IMHO. The amp I have is the THA 275 however you can prob. opt for the larger models. I just hope my 275 gives me enough bass! If not I'll sell it and buy a bigger amp!! You would prob. also need some electrical tape, soldering gun or crimp connectors, perhaps some speaker wire if you decided to upgrade the factory speaker wiring (which I dont plan on doing). Also if you want to make going back to stock easy, you can install Molex connectors as Technic stated to your OEM wiring where you cut. That way when swapping back you can just plug and go vs trying to figure out which wire went where. |

If I decided to change the THA275 for a larger BP amp, which model would you suggest? Just wondering if the 90x2 will satisfy my need!!! Thinking maybe exchange it with a similar model but with more power?? |

I pondered the same question a few weeks ago and Technic already replied. There are two other models, the THA475 which is 4 x 75W and the THA1250 which is 250W x 1. If you use the PnP inuts, you cannot bridge the output channels (for whatever reason) and therefore the only option for more power to two speakers is the mono amp. If both of your subs are 4 ohm, you will wire them in parallel which will result in 300W x 1 power output which should be ideal.

- the THA475 will give you some 180W RMS per SWS-8, but they will have to be 4 ohms and the channels will have to be bridged (no PnP inputs). - the THA1260 will allow to use the PnP input while giving you some 300W RMS at a single 2 ohm load (mono), so the SWS-8 will have to be 4 ohms each connected in parallel (no stereo connection). I would test the THA275 to find out if it is enough "bump" before any replacement... |

Ahh must've missed that!! OK I'll try the 2 ohm sws 8s with the 275 to see what it offers. I previously ran 2 JL 10 W0s in a sealed box with a lousy profile 300 W amp.
It wasnt really loud or obnoxious to shake the neighborhood but did provide a good bump |

Im still confused.
I will have the L7 in my pre owned. Is this a pass through wiring on the subs that goes to another speaker? Why cant you just use a high level input amp to drive the after market subs and be done with it? |
