Hello

I have a 2011 e90 xdrive. I'm purchasing BC coilovers and upgrading my brakes. Not a BBK just an upgrade from stock.

My question is and yes so everyone knows. I have done a lot of research first before asking but I just can't seem to get the question answered that I'm looking for.

I have style 285 wheels that are 17x8 ET34. I know with xdrive the rotation circumference has to be the same so nothing messes up. I'm wanting to buy spacers to get more of a flush look. Does anyone know what mm spacer would I need to achieve that without messing anything up? I also hear that with xdrive you can't go that low. Is that true?

Spacer-wise you should be fine at whatever mm you fancy. You're correct regarding the rotation circumference. I also have a 2011 e90 xDrive with CAtuned coils, pretty sure BC is who manufactures them. I am on style 193's with 15mm spacers in the front, 18mm in the back, and my fenders are at the top of the tires, zero issues.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I was thinking the back is going to need a bigger spacer in the rear because it does look a little wider then the front.

You’re in good company. I’ve had my BC’s in for about a month now and am really happy with them. I have style 285’s on now as well, but will be switching to style 95 reps as soon as I can decide on rubber.

I haven’t ordered spacers yet, but I think you’re spot on with 15/18. The rears definitely look a little more tucked than the front.

Front fitment without spacer on coil heights as shipped from BC. You have room to go out a bit.

BCs don't got THAT low, probably for good reason. My front half shafts started making noise when the fronts were as low as they would go. You can get away with 15/20mm spacers.

Regarding BC coils for an X-Drive, should I go with the extreme lows or the regulars?

Depends on if you want a more daily friendly car or something very aggressive. I went with the standard set and it's goes plenty low enough to eliminate wheel gap. I have a lot of room left to go lower and this is how it sits.
