Draft coming through DS door...
Like the title says, I can feel a substantial draft coming through the DS door panel, specifically through the window switch bank and some of the seams around the storage cubby area. I've checked the door seals and they seem to be okay.... All of the draft seems to be coming through places where the door panel meets the actual door.
Any time the doors and sunroof are closed and the HVAC is on, the blower motor seems to kick out enough air to keep the draft in check. But when cabin pressure drops––most notably when the sunroof is tilted open––the draft becomes very noticeable. There is also a very annoying whistling noise that is only noticeable only when the sunroof is tilted open, but does not seem to actually originate from that area. It also seems to be cabin-pressure related. The noise is coming from the DS door area. Have tried taping up parts of mirror (seams) to rule things out, but noise persists. While it seems the obvious solution would be to remove my door panel and ensure the vapor barrier/insulation is intact and adhered to where it should be, I thought I'd first see if anyone else has a similar issue. If it's just something inherent to the E90, then I won't bother trying to fix it. Thanks in advance!

Vapor barrier, as you mentioned.
Not inherent to the e90 in its correct state. Fortunately, the door panel is super easy to remove and put back on. Give it a try. |

Thanks. Will do. I should have mentioned that I've removed my door panel many times haha. I probably put something back incorrectly....

If the regulator was changed the vapor barrier may be compromised. No need for new glue just heat the old glue with a heat gun slightly

1) External window seal at base of glass; 2) Grommet for wiring harness entering door on front of door. You probably do NOT want to use a smoke machine to find the leak. Please let us know what you find, George |

Thanks all!
Oddly enough there seems to be one from P/S as well. I’ve probably taken that door panel off too but can’t recall. Will report back once things warm up a bit more and I get the panel off.

I’ll roll my friends a blunt and get them to hotbox it. That should do the trick.
