I think it works on that car. The Fit is awesome for what it is and the price point. Honestly contemplated buying one to dump some miles on before my company tossed a car my way. It's different and with some simple mods looks pretty cool, imo.

It's a fun little car. Tons of cargo space, go-kart like handling, and 40mpg. The gf gave me the go ahead for some tasteful mods and I'm finding some decent parts for it. Who would of thought from a subcompact econobox? And you're absolutely right about making it look good with a few simple mods.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm usually not a fan of white wheels, they tend to be a bit "showy" and rallycar-esque for me. But I think that set looks really good. It's either that set in white or matte black.

I wish they put the Civic engine in it. When I test drove one, you really had to push to make it go anywhere. 115hp and 1.5L isn't quite enough, even with the 5MT. Another 30hp from the 1.8 in the Civic wouldn't hurt. Once you get rolling, it's fun though.

Hola lemanse92.

Who's ready for another 1-2 feet of snow? I should have packed myself into MassBimmer's luggage, he's on an island somewhere right now.

I'm not even going to bother cleaning the snow until Friday. I have nowhere to put it. So i am left with either letting it melt over a few days or I go outside and melt it all with a small heat gun

Anyone ever been to Singapore/Thailand? I'm planning a trip to visit a friend studying abroad in March.

Snapped a picture of crews hauling the car out of the Merrimack river this morning on the way to work. Apparently someone ran off the road, jumped the barrier, and dropped ~200ft into the water last night:

I saw that on the news last night. Pretty terrible accident and it took the crews a couple hours to find the car on the bottom of the river :/

Yeah. I was coming home southbound around 8 last night and they had the road closed, choppers, Coast Guard, dozens of Staties, and fire/rescue from all surrounding towns. One of the worst accidents I've heard about on that stretch of I-95 from 128 to the NH border.

Anyone in the Boston area looking to trade up from 18in CSL's to my 19in staggered VMR CSL's. Less than 1,000 miles on rear tires brand new fronts. no tpms.

I'm picking a set of TPMS up from Fore. Anyone know him?

Getting ready to order my CCWs. I'm going to Singapore/Thailand/Bali, Indonesia for 2 weeks in March. Gonna order before I leave. Expensive month
P.S. my VA job offer was cancelled due to customer not awarding contract but I don't have to move now

Wheel size options:
1.
18x9.5" et19 235/40 (might rub)
18x11" et32 265/35

2.
18x9.5" et19 225/40
18x11" et25 255/35 (don't really wanna stretch 255 on 11", but I'll get an extra 1/2" lip)

3.
18x9.5" et19 225/40
18x11" et32 265/35
<1% difference in rolling diameter, but non-standard sizes for xDrive

Thoughts?

Just wanted to say hello since I'm new to the site. Live in Massachusetts and just got my first BMW, an 06 325i with 60k miles on it. Space Gray.

I traded in my pretty highly modified 08 civic si coupe. The thing was about to shit the bed at just under 40k miles Learned the hard way which mods were worth it. They just aren't built like the old Hondas anymore. The K20 is rock solid but the rest of the car is not the best quality.

Oh and as far as modding that FIT goes...they actually have a rotorex supercharger kit available for the thing believe it or not.

I racked up over 4000 posts on 8thcivic.com, so I hope to enjoy my time here as much as I am enjoying my new BMW.

Thanks!

I hope to be there too. I tend to avoid driving IN Boston though. I am a suburbanite and get a bit worried about driving in Boston. Between dodging the asshole drivers and the canyon-like potholes everywhere while navigating the one way roads...it gets a bit tricky haha.

I will do it on occasion, but I am definitely not a fan. That being said I'd have no problem going to other meets. I am about 20 minutes north of Boston.
