When you say a lower mix are you talking about 40% or lower?
He means boost additive on JB4.

Map 3 targets 13psi by default, you can add more boost by upping the boost additive value in blocks of 10 (1psi per block). For cars running 93octane (98ron) they recommend additive of 40 - targeting 17psi.

I run additive of 55 targeting 18.5psi.

They aren't completely pointless

But bhp wise your talking a very minimal gain 5-10bhp

Helps to reduce intake temps, thus in turn reducing exhaust gas temps so you can get more power without chucking loads of soot out. Too much Smoke on a derv is bad. The no smoke no poke saying is nonsense

Advantage for petrol is you can also use the meth for fuelling.

On a 335d I'd expect more than 5-10bhp..

It's about knock suppression - it allows you to run more boost safely. Someone had a 400hp 335d running meth - not in the uk.

Would be nice to know what mods the guy did for 400bhp. In the future, i would like to go for a DPF delete, straight pipes, meth and remap. Should get to 370-380 maybe?
