E92 M3 interior in a non M car

Hi.

I'm looking to replace my fully electric/heated alcantara sports seats (E92 pre LCI) with some seats from an E92 LCI M3. They're electric/heated with lumbar. I want to replace the front seat, rear seats and associated door cards. I know that the AHR won't work because my car doesn't have that but will there be any other issues? Is it just a straight swap/plug and play job?

Thanks.

Thanks. I'd seen that thread. Do you know if the rear seats fit as well? I don't see any reason why not but then again I'm not overly knowledgeable on these kinds of things.

I've no experience in this physically... but the interior of m3 and non m3 are just appearance...so all fittings should be exactly the same. I'd say 99% it would all fit no problems on what I've read over the years. I would defo go for it if is was me ☺. I think quite alot of non M owners have done this swap easily enough.. I wouldn't mind the M3 front seats in my E93... but the M E93 ones are hard to find in cream🙄

It’s a complete direct fit. I’ve got full M3 interior and it’s a straight forward swap over. Only thing I had to do was swap one pin over for the bolsters.

Yes I remember a couple of years ago someone put the F series front seats in a E9x car. I remember clearly in was the red ones. Trying to find the post now. I don't think it was a direct bolt on.... maybe some custom frame work to bolt to the E9x floor...and coding too☺

Yes M4 etc seats are a direct bolt in fro the fronts. It's the wiring that needs tweaking and maybe some coding.

For what it's worth, you can get over the AHR issue by swapping the internals of the head rests from your old seats. bloke on YouTube did it, and it was pretty straightforward.

This is his viddeo:
