I'm so behind on all this. I was going to ask Pete how he got the rear CSL rotors to fit in his car. I didn't know he passed. Thats too bad. He was always pushing the envelope with his car. I'd love to see this come to life. We need to keep pushing this motor to extract more than 300hp.

I agree. I’m running with stock civic type R’s and e46m3’s with a little 3.0L N/A 6 cylinder. The potential with this platform is pretty good and even though we have just a few vendors.

No such thing. You can have quality and you can have a cheap price.. you can't have both.

My buddy just bought a 2006 997 carerra S. Headers for that car’s flat 6 are $1600 and are no more parts or complex than the $900 AA headers I’m running. I don’t think we are being ripped off.

I disagree about quality and price when it comes to headers. Its really not that complex and it comes down to materials and time. The problem with OBX and their likes is they don't have simple quality control or else they could use the same time and materials and achieve those lower prices. I can almost guarantee you that AA has over 300% margin on their headers.

just curious if a cam does become available, would it be difficult to install? would we need special tools?

He bought 24 MILVS install tools from China. Hopefully they will arrive.

He is now working on exhaust cams. Have N52 and N55 cams to get 'cam doctored' and spec'ed. Then hopefully a regrind for +1mm more lift.

Let me know if you need to get in touch with him...

Marty's quite the enigma around here - just being "mysterious" and slightly harder to reach.

Also looks like the BimmerMILVS site is under construction.

I was trying to find a graceful way to phrase this but couldn't.

Is an exhaust cam going to be a worthwhile mod if we're running the stock exhaust manifold? Seems like the big V8 guys do it.

I shipped my old exhaust cam to Marty yesterday. I gotta imagine that he's using it for this project.
