09s Help up at VPC??

Can anyone confirm that the 09 turbo models are being held up for EPA recertification? My dealer says they don't know anything.

+1 You would think if this is true BMWNA would tell the dealers so we the consumer don't get pissed off! I hate mysteries!!!

My GUESS: the new laggy programming for the turbo has to be recertified....

my E -93 arrived at NY/NJ port on 9-21-08. Went through VPC and has been sitting either in some building or a lot for approx. the last 10 days. I called corporate last week after my CA advised me that Corporate was holding all MY 09's because they still had 08's at the ports , and not to expect my vehicle until sometime in Oct/08 ,but couldn't say when.This really ticked me off and I called Corporate and they said my CA was miss informed and they would get back to me. They did and said they would begin shipping any day now.After seeing all this stuff about a hold on MY 09 because of certification by the EPA , I decided to call corporate back today 10-8-08 and they did confirm that all 335 I 's were being held up because of the EPA recertification . Again he told me they would be shipped as soon as possible , that wasn't good enough for me and I pressed him ,telling him I heard Oct 13 th as a release date and if this was true. He told me that he hasn't heard that date mentioned and he really could not give me a date . I was very disappointed after hearing that and he then said I can assure you that the car's will pass this certification and will be shipped to the dealers as soon as possible. But we are dealing with a Gov. agency so who really knows how long..After hearing that statement from his mouth I wonder if he or anyone over there knows or is there some other problem . Anybody have any juice with the Fed's . I' am really running out of time with the weather in Buffalo. I'am sure you guys are going nuts like me , call corporate 1-800-831-1117 and see if you get some other story . jamo
