I know Cobb, had one of the earlier (if not earliest don't remember) accessports on my 2002 WRX, like 4 cars ago...... Always loved the features, and of course the power bump. This will be a quality BMW tune option for sure. Here is a pic of what I had when I sold it a few years ago.

Thanks for breaking into the BMW Scene, Cobb tuning. I am looking forward to seeing a lot more! --MW

Hey Everyone,

It's great to see the overwhelming enthusiasm and support for us from continued and new customers, thank you!

Alright I'm going to try to answer all the questions I can without spilling all the beans before release.

1. The AP will have the capability to be installed and uninstalled at anytime from your own garage. We recommend uninstalling before going to the dealer.
2. Power will be on par or better than the competition. Our general MO is to find the mechanical limits of our cars, then back the tunes off just slightly for repeatable and consistent power.
3. AccessTuner Pro (ATP, Software sold to professional tuners) will be available shortly after the release for custom tuning of individual vehicles. AccessTuner Race (ATR, end user custom tuning software) will be available sometime after ATP. We want to make sure the product is easy to use and fully worked out for our end users given the complexity of the tuning.
4. Pricing will be more than our base make of AP due to development costs, but less than the base GT-R AP ($995). That will include staged, stock, and valet maps, gauges, data logging, 0-60 and 1/4 times, and DTC reading/clearing.

Cheers,
Rob@Cobb

Here comes a tuner that caters to the "boy racer" market of Subaru, Mitsu and Masda and everyone is ecstatic!

Shockin', you should get a post count +2 for quoting a deleted post, haha.

My reply to that statement is deleted too....

It was something to the effect of "Another tuning brand (unnamed) tuned Subaru's before BMW's also. And, they are very well accepted here on e90post".

Hopefully, this post gets to stay because no tuner / sponsor names are used lol.

+1 yeah there goes the good old BMW tax..two constants I have encounters since buying my BMW 1 being over inflated prices for stuff that would cost the mustang or evo crowd 30-40% less and 2 some jerk off going around defending the inflated price tag because its "quality" .....clown shoes

People are likely ecstatic because this product offers something unique, that doesn't yet exist for this platform. Take the best things about the piggybacks and the best things about the flash tunes and combine them, then you have something almost as cool as what this product will be able to do.

It's BMW tax, and also the fact that the n54 makes more power with a tune than the Sti/Evo/MS3...

So we get for that.

695, thats waht an ap goes for. ATR was givien for free to many communities. It complete bmw tax bullshit. The 995 gtr price, yea i can see that, I havnt even seen one driving around in the past several years. In that case, the car is so limitied, the price jack is understandable. I see a 335/135 daily
