Edit: so, I looked at the ecs website for the kit. There are tabs on the back of the ducts with screw holes. Did you use those to screw the ducts to the oil cooler? What about the driver side?

And, you got rid of some of the tabs from the bumper, right? Not the duct itself.

Sorry for these questions, but I have no idea how these get mounted and secured. I appreciate your time and help.
the oil cooler side all aligns perfectly with your oil cooler screws on the oil cooler side, then on the bumper sire I cut off all tabs because oil cooler side is holding the duct sturdy and then the bumper side overlaps the bumper hole so it's holding up great, the driver side on the other hand I left the top tabs on the bumper so I can screw it to the duct I cut a small slot in the duct and overlapped it with the bumper tab and then screwed it together then on the side of the brake vent hold I just used the duct's screw tab and just drilled a hole in the wheel well and put the screw through it so it's holding it in place... once you see it you'll figure it out I'm sure!! lmao this all sounds like gibberish

Ok. If can picture it now. That's the most detail I've ever heard about how it is done. This should be in the diy section.

Thanks a lot!

Now what you need is those fancy replacement duct fin housings in their place- it would look 10 times better with those, than some empty holes

Bringing this one back to the top, with your comments I was able to get it all put together! I actually ended up buying the vent from the 335is that goes in the driver's side wheel well and installed that too so that air and debris don't get trapped in the duct.

Really was pretty easy, I also bought the M-sport specific brake ducts so that it all lined up, and the 335is scoops. I trimmed out the center plastic area, which I made a diagram for (not my car, but best pic I could find of what it looks like)

Like said above, the passenger side bolts up to the oil cooler if you have it, and all fits in exactly like stock. I was even able to leave the tabs on the bumper (though I might remove if I don't like the look).

For the Driver's side, the brake duct fits up like stock in the stock location and screws. The air duct on that side is a little trickier since there is nothing for the duct to bolt up to unless you have the BMW Performance Package. What I did here was cut a hole in through the duct and brake duct and wire tied those together, then I cut a window in the wheel well liner at the back of the duct and installed this:

It doesn't fit up perfect, but its pretty dang good, and just wire tied the duct to that grille.

Yeah, ever since I saw someone do the foglight delete with the 335is scoops a long while back on this forum, I knew that was the look I wanted...seeing yours sealed the deal for me.

The "vent" I was referencing is the grille that mounts in the wheel well to allow air to pass through from the ducting. You should have one in the Passenger side if you have an oil cooler. If you don't install it in the driver's side, then air and debris will just stop and get trapped at the wheel well lining.
