roof bars wanted E91

Can anyone recommend a good set of roof bars for my 2009 E91 that wont damage the roof rails.
There are lots of inexpensive ones on Ebay but they are probably a "one size fits all" system which in my experience doesnt. But the BMW OEM ones are very expensive for something Im going to use very occassionally.

So any suggestions will be gratefully received.

I've got the standard Thule lockable bars.

They work fine, don't mark the rails and seem sturdy. Unfortunately they whistle when unloaded so they come off quickly after a session of use! Quiet when loaded though. I do wonder if taping over the slot underneath would stop it.

I suspect the posher and more expensive 'aero' bars may be quieter.

I got the Thule Wing Bar Edge (or something). They're supposed to be lower profile than the standard. Seem to fit nicely and no risk of damage as the only bit that touches the roof rails is rubber. Never really used them much though - they're silver and don't really go with the car (SGM).

There should have been rubbers to go in the slots underneath, did you buy them second hand?

Garage List
They look like they'll fit fine.

I use Thule for my bike racks, but also have a set of vauxhall quick release racks from a 1999 Vectra that I used to own, they are the best set I have
