Depends where you are in Jersey.
Check out Bimmer Clinic in South Amboy (they used to be Maximum PSI when they were in Linden)
Highly recommended.

Thanks man, I originally called tyspeed and they never even heard of bigboost and they waited me I felt high, I also did look into bimmer clinic which I'm about 60 miles south of, they also never heard of bigboost and told me I would have to bring the car and kit by for them to look at 😞kinda dissapointed these big name shops in nj aren't firmiliar at with bb

Most shops will not discuss prices over the phone and may want to see the car and stuff before going into details about what work can be done. I'm sure Bimmerclinic will install upgraded turbos or single turbo set ups (if that's what you mean by bigboost).
However if you are speaking of any kit in particular they might want to see it/research before working with it or most shops will install but will not guarantee the pieces/parts only the labor.

I mean, I've been pretty good about following the n54/ n55 scene for the last 3 years, and your post had me googling bigboost. Any reason you want to go with that kit? Why don't you go fora kit that these well known shops are familiar with?

As you can see, a lot of us aren't familiar with the bigboost kit. Their site servers are awful and take forever to load, and afaik they aren't some crazy proven brand. I might just not be in the know, but it's not weird for a shop to want to know what they're getting into. You wont be happy when they say "everythings apart and nothing fits, you still owe us labor." because your kit isnt a proper one.

Bigboost is without a doubt the the number one choice for a n55 aftermarket turbo not including ps2 option. Only other options are docrace which almost no one runs for n55 and is overpriced and speedtech which hasn't been a popular option, bigboost is the route everyone goes I'm shocked the shops in nj haven't worked with them yet

Because shop doesn't know about Big Boost Kit doesn't mean they are not knowledgeable. I am a N54 guy and I had no clue about Big Boost Kit.

If you want more information check out ***********.com

Btw, Maximum PSI F80 M3 goes 9.359 @ 151 MPH back in March 2019 which appear to be an F chassis record. They know turbos even if they haven't heard about Big Boost Kit for N55. From my experience on the forums most guys aren't modding their N54. Maybe you should ask Big Boost guys who they would recommend in the South NJ area!

I agree with DS3IAM, Maximum PSI (now Bimmer Clinic) definitely know turbos and Forced Induction overall. I also never heard of bigboost but perhaps going over and speaking with a tech in person might answer some questions.

Good luck overall in your quest for power

Please tell me this is a joke- tons of terrible experiences, including myself... and I was a believer for a while there.

Take to ZNM if you want to end up with no-name parts after your real parts have been stolen, trumped up charges without work done, and money lost. I'm out $850 in returns that I was repeatedly promised, lied to about, offered to been bribed to "keep this between us," and now threatened with legal action for posting truth online. Please don't go to ZNM... not to mention their shop was forcibly closed down by the local consumer affairs, so they don't have a shop to work from.

Their "parts store" and online parts store is still in existence through loopholes using his fiance/ now wife's name to run the business. Shitty, childish, and unprofessional people.

I was joking, they're scum. I like to make sure they're mentioned in every NJ shop thread so that any potential client is made aware of their scams.

sadly i was part of their scam but I was very lucky to get all my money back on my ST build! I had charged it on my credit card. I was able to dispute the charges and got all my money back.

OP what's the update on the shop?

Not to Necro this thread. But figured I'd throw some more fuel on the dumpster fire that is ZNM. Man I can only hope that Matt and his wife get put in jail.

My car has never been the same. Most of the frustration is just doubt from knowing what was actually done while it wasn't in my possession. I still haven't checked everything out because I didn't care that much, after I reversed all my charges. But I'm 99% sure that their claim that they installed my requested Pure Stg 2's is complete BS. I still have rattle, and dyno'd I was only hitting around 430 on 93 with all other supporting mods installed. It's a project car now, so its gets less of my attention. Maybe someday I'll just DocRace it and find out for real what was installed.

Just an update since I came accord this thread arhat I forgot about. Gdo automotive installed my kit last March and I have had the car back for more goodies since. Highly recommend Gdo automotive Danny is a great tech and very firmiliar with single turbo kits, turned out to be a doc race vendor himself. Anyone in nj needing anything go there there service and prices are unbeatable
