BMW 320si performance exhaust

Hello guys, after some advice on my 320si. I am looking to fit a louder back box to the vehicle, however these are hard to come by for my model due to the model being rare. According to Realoem the standard exhaust on my vehicle is the same as a normal e9x with a N46 fitted. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. Thanks. Sam

I used to have a 320Si and it had the BMW Performance Exhaust fitted when I bought the car second hand. IIRC, it is the same part as the 320i Performance Exhaust.

Have you thought about a 335i conversion?

There are a lot of places throughout the UK that do this for roughly £400-£500.
I had mine done and looks and sounds great!

I have the 320i N43 engine and the sound from he engine is not that great.
Have looked at the performance exhaust just for the shinny twin tailpipe but the prices are crazy even for used part.

I guess its a personal choice but would avoid 335i conversion on a 320i. Would be like small 1.0 car with huge rims and 6 inch tailpipe screaming for attention.

The performance exhaust says its only compatible with diesel models. Why is that? And will it be a good choice for a 320i?

Strange. I Googled the part number I got from BMW ETK.

320i N46 (2006MY)

18 30 7 645 970: Exhaust pipes with primary silencer.
18 10 7 549 428: Rear silencer.

18 30 2 165 667: BMW Performance Silencer.

320 Si

18 30 7 645 970: Exhaust pipes with primary silencer .
18 10 7 549 428: Rear silencer.

The 2006MY 320i (N46) shares the same front and rear sections of exhaust. Although the BMW Performance silencer is listed for the 320i, it is not listed for the 320Si. Given that both cars use the same exhaust systems, the BMW Performance exhaust will fit the 320Si.
