Clogged injectors? Techron cleaner

Hey guys my car has been sluggish and had jerky throttle and inconsistent power the last several months, when I put in some techron fuel system cleaner my car feels 90 pcnt better then goes back to sluggish pretty quickly.

Is it pretty safe to say my injectors are clogged or could it be something else? Thanks

I can say it is pretty safe to say your injectors are NOT clogged, otherwise you would be the first. We need to know a lot more about your car to help diagnose the issue.

Techron only does what it can from underneath the valve stem's. It has no help with above the stems. Want a successful clean up. Try walnut blasting* This might not solve the listed problems that your having but neither will the techron as you can see its temporary..

Ya I definitely need to walnut blast. But since the techron is temporarily fixing my problem it must be in the fuel system and not the intake wouldnt it?
And all I can think of is dirty injectors that it would be helping since its Direct injection.

It makes a HUGE difference in how the car runs.

Can you measure some before/after metrics?

Ya I have some logs but its hard to see since there isnt a problem at WOT, fuel pressure is good. I'll post some logs after a bit.

The car felt good at wot but I would have to almost floor it to get the car to move. Definitely not smooth.

What year is your car? I used to have injector problems all of the time. It's pretty easy to tell when it's the injectors and not something else.

Do you have any issues or hesitation at full WOT?

Hey its a 2011. Oh thats good how can I tell?

Before the techron when I floored it there was a 1 second or more delay then the car took off. sometimes I would floor it and it would barley accelerate. But normal driving was always jerky and sluggish.

Shot in the dark but how is the car starting up? My car was real sluggish from a stop prior to doing my regulator. Also had long crank.

I do have long crank. Ive read a ton of posts about the fuel pumps. Did you have any codes? How much was the regulator?

I had 2BDE & 2BF0. Replaced hpfp which took care of the codes, long cranks didn’t go away until after I did the regulator.

I keep going back and fowarth on the fuel pump. The thing is my logs at wot looks perfect but ive read that means the pump is ok and ive also read it can screw up at under wot.

But I dont think putting techron cleaner in and getting such a difference would effect the fuel pump in anyway.

If you have a bad injector your idle would be terrible. If you really think it is an injector pull your spark plugs and see if any of them are black.

I know the injectors fail on the N43, N53 and N54 engine but was under the impression the N55 solved this by using solenoid injectors.. or have i misunderstood

N55 injectors rarely fail, but it can happen. I had one fail in 132k miles. My point in all of this is it is probably not injector related, but if adamant it is that is how you would know.
