► APEX | 19" EC-7 Wheels - New Fitments

APEX 19” EC-7 Wheel

These new 19” widths and offsets are more aggressive than our track-oriented 18” sizes, and allow for a more flush fitment. Wide widths and specialized offsets make sure these wheels are still a big step up in tire sizes and performance, not just an aesthetic upgrade. The wheel’s design has been tweaked to further enhance functionality and appearance. The center pad depth has been increased on all sizes to further accentuate spoke concavity. Inner lips were thickened to increase strength and better handle the abuse from low profile and stretched tires. These wheels include a newly redesigned sleek black center cap made from a more heat-resistant material for increased durability in track environments. Of course, OEM center caps and TPMS sensors still work perfectly.

Available Fitments
19x8.5" ET35 - 21.90lbs - Profile 1 - $339
19x8.5" ET20 - 21.80lbs - Profile 3 - $339

19x9.0" ET35 - 22.80lbs - Profile 2 - $349
19x9.0" ET22 - 22.00lbs - Profile 3 - $349
19x9.5" ET43 - 23.00lbs - Profile 2 - $369
19x9.5" ET33 - 22.50lbs - Profile 3 - $369

EC-7 Product Information:
An optimized car setup begins with the perfect wheel fitment. Without the ideal fitment, your car's performance potential is always compromised. With this in mind, we’ve added 10 new 19” BMW-specific fitments to compliment our 13 existing 18" sizes. The 19” EC-7’s are produced using three unique face profiles ranging from moderate to extreme concavity. This wide range of vehicle-specific 19” fitments allows for maximum concavity, proper caliper clearance, wider tires, and an overall ideal setup.

The EC-7 wheel line was originally created to address the concerns of more and more racers and track day enthusiasts: long term durability, fit and performance. With the increase of faster and heavier cars being used in racing, HPDEs, and spirited driving, the EC-7 was designed and engineered to handle extreme abuse on the track & street and offer a wide range of direct fitments, all while producing a lightweight wheel. We’ve taken these strength and endurance features even further with the 19” line to produce a very stylish and functional wheel.

The spoke design of the two wheels are a bit different, with the EC-7's having a smoother spoke that blends into the rim of the wheels. The PS-7's have sharper edges that goes all the way the edge of the wheels, creating a lip-like feature.

Here are the two wheels side by side to show the differences.

EC-7

PS-7

We have not been able to bring an M4 in for test fitments yet, but we are working on getting one in for a proper photoshoot and to collect data on different fitments that may work on the new M3/M4.

Currently, these are the only photos of the 19" EC-7's on the E90 3-series that we have. We are working on getting more content to share as best as we can.

Our wheels are manufactured by a process called flow-forming. Flow-forming combines casting and forging technologies to produce a strong and lightweight wheel with about 80-90% of the weight savings of a fully forged wheel, but at 1/3 the cost of expensive fully forged wheels. Flow-forming is the name used for the process that forms the final barrel shape. The wheels come out of the original mold with a narrow and extremely thick bell like barrel. A machine with two high pressure rollers compress and stretch the metal into its final shape. This machine/step is the same that fully forged wheels use to form their barrel. This gives the wheel strength where it really maters, and weight savings in the area that impacts rotational mass the most.

Techwiz, Looks awesome, great choice on these. I was searching and came across your original thread of about 3-4 wheels and realized it was the same 3-4 i have been debating between. In that same thread, I saw these in anthracite on a black e90 (mines jet black) and I really liked the look. waiting to hear back on pricing now...

I had the F*&$estar wheels before.
Bent two. They might be spun and light but they are no stronger than a cast wheel.

I bought Apex because they stock wheels for replacement and they keep their designs around, so if I damage a wheel I can get another.

They are also less than 25 minutes from where I live.

I read somewhere that it's 15% weight savings?

Would you be able to link to where you saw this? There is a weight savings, but it varies depending on wheel size and offset. Not sure where the 15% came from?
