Performance Intake Installed

Just put in the intake today. Took me about an hour pretty much straight forward on how to install.

Long story short is I love it. Got it for a great price and I definetly feel throttle response improved and while doing 60-80 at around 3k rpm I feel a slightly harder pull well at least thats what the butt dyno feels like haha. I will be doing a stage 2 tune on the 2nd so I plan to get a dyno done soon after so I will update the thread in the future with results. Check out the pictures below! Also you will notice in one of the pics I also installed some red cyba scoops I got, and after installing those I soon remembered how much I hate removing those stupid clips on the grills!

Anyway, enjoy

mine just made a loud suction sound, the cheap thrill lasted about 3 weeks. almost as fun as installing decals.

wouldn't necessarily call it cheap* ...but I guess we are all entitled to our own opinion. Sounds to me like you regret it, sorry to hear that.

nice, i can confirm your butt dyno is correct, thats how i feel when i got mine.

you will definitely need that intake for your AA tuning.

dont forget when u got AA, give it min. 1 tank gas to adapt new setting or u will be sorry when u hit the dyno

Very nice mod and sorry to go off topic but I see in your signature that you got two 10" subs, how did you go about the rear deck rattle when blasting music?

I've got this same intake on my 325i and I love it. The butt dyno definitely shows some improvement of some sort over stock, plus the CF finish on the whole thing looks really good under the hood. It's a little pricey over some other intakes, but all OEM BMW Performance parts are anyways.

Going through parking garages is also much more addicting now, I can't get enough of the sound.

Congrats on the new intake, I would get one if I could get a good deal too. The "butt dyno" is the best one to listen to. The math on the intake = better performance too, larger intake channel + high flow filter + better path to engine = happy motor and better throttle response.

Congrats! I went with the Eurobox due to lower cost but that Performance Intake looks real good. Let me know what you think about the AA tune, I am getting mine done sometime next week.
