Feeler : 2013 Msport 335xi coupe ?

Thought I'd post it here, as I don't want a headache of dealing with autotrader bots and will most likley just trade it in for something this fall..

2013 Msport 335xi coupe, black on white leather
Only 65,000 kms
Navigation
NO accidents
No mods (sadly)
Never tuned (sadly)
Tinted
OEM 313's with Contis DW's Extreme Contact (95% thread left)
Winter 17" black rims, but rubber needs to be replaced

What do you think it's a fair price ? I'd rather someone on here get a good deal, vs. stealership making me a low offer.

I think around $16-17k mark is fair. Automatics don't hold much value

Which dealer offered $21k? I'd take it and run. It's gonna be very tough getting $21k for an automatic in the private sale market

Yeah that makes sense 😂 they want to move the M4 to you. Now is a bad time to sell cars though.

21k trade-in/25k private is a very fair. You won't be able to squeeze much more IMO.

Ok first thing is first, whoever said 16-17k in private market has not idea what he is talking about. Just go take a look on autotrader and try to find a 335 with that type of mileage fr 16-17k. I m only guessing that member is thinking about US market with US dollars

Then manual may hold their value better on coupes and older cars that enthusiastic just want to modify. These are usually cars under the 15k range. Your car is somewhere approaching that market .

Also did the dealer offered you 21k after tax saving on your new purchased or before tax saving? . Keep in mind that at 21k , you still need to add 2500-3000 on top , as these are savings towards your next purchased. So 21k offer before tax savings is close to 24k offer in reality.
If the dealer offered you 21k total , that means they have already included the tax saving on your next purchased, so the actual offer for the car is more like 18k

Lastly , did the dealer gave you an actual document with the appraisal , or did the sales guy just said 21k. I was " offered" 19k for my car 3 years ago , only to find the day I went in to purchase the new car that the 19k offered already included the tax savings, and to make matters worst the official offer on writting was 15.5k or so ( 13 500 K for the car and like 1200 on tax savings)...

The prices on Auto trader don't even reflect anywhere near what these cars go for... Look at how long these people have had their ads up for!

Do you know how long that car will sit on Auto trader for if it was priced more than 18k? MONTHS.. maybe even til next season!! You have to realize ... Most people buying these 335 are teenagers that are comparing them to an 07 335i space grey coupe with 200k kms and blown turbos for $5k and thinking why on Earth would I spend upwards $25k on it. (That is if they even have that much $$ to begin with) ... Also if you try to make the arguement about non teenager enthusiasts? No enthusiasts want an automatic ... It's a sad reality if this car was manual you could get allot more easily.

OP, you have a nice car. It's unfortunate that people on the market will not appreciate an auto. Or a car with low kms. It's a tough reality. Price the car accordingly so that it will move or you WILL be stuck with it for a long long time, you may be able to squeeze 2-3k more if you decide to wait but you have to take into account how long can you wait? Are you in a rush?? How bad do you want another car? Parking spaces? Also have to take into account that winter season is around the corner and people are taking out their beaters and nobody is interested in a bimmer coupe.

To put it into presepective: A friend of mine picked up an 11' 335i xdrive LeMans blue MSport manual with 80k kms, fully loaded, nav, clean records.. list price on Auto trader was $25k but he took it home for only $18k.. and this was a much more rarer spec than OP, also this was 1+ yr ago.

you are just spitting non sense, how do you know the cars sit there for months or years. You are just guessing that.
You are also comparing apple to oranges, this is a 2013 335 , the teenagers you are talking about are buying old high mileage n54s , this is not what the op is selling . So its not even a fair comparison . Im not even sure why would you bring this comparison ...

If you got a steal of a deal , it does not mean everyone is getting that, maybe the seller was desperate to sell the car, if the dealer is offering 21k for it , it means these cars actually sell for more, the dealer is giving op auction prices.

He can easily get 20k for his car in the private market. Find me a 2013 with similar mileage for 16-17k , you wont find it.

So instead of telling the op to give away his car, be a little more cautious.

I sold mine recently.. I would know how much interest these cars get when you price them that high 😂.. it's an E9X generation 335 automatic with low kms... If it was F30 then it's a different price range. I've been speaking to someone who runs a fairly reputatable luxury car dealership in GTA and he's been giving me insight on pricing as well.

OP, list the car at $25k. You will see how many people actually contact you and the prices it's gonna go for. Take the dealers offer you will save yourself a good deal of trouble.

$25K is 335is manual price territory only for the e9x 335s in the private market.

Key word is private. Dealers typically sell cars for alot more than private sellers.

It was just a verbal offer, but if I get 21K for sure, I'll just jump on it.

Should be in the 2018 M4 Yas Marina by October 1st ! Pretty pumped.

+1 to everything rick100 said. This Nexus313 character seldom knows what he's talking about when it comes to selling values on these things and constantly undervalues everyone's shit.

$21k on trade + HST savings towards the M4 is pretty solid, especially given the convenience. As long as the M4 is being obtained at a number you're comfortable with, then go for it.

This is what's in their paperwork : have valued your car at $21000+ 13% HST ($23,730)

Great deal on the M4, plus their private sale is coming up Sept 20th, so there is a chance their offer will improve..

Now, I'll need to tint it and do some protective clear wrapping...

I don't get this comment about automatics. Less people drive standards than automatics. plus it's a nice car.
