2006 330 XI E90 - Oil Leak

Hi,
My son’s 2006 330 XI developed a bad oil leak on the passengers side of the engine. The valve cover gasket is good and no drips from the Vanos Solenoids/Cam Position Sensor area. It looked like it was coming from the timing chain tensioner, so I I swapped that out with a new tensioner and crush washer. Unfortunately it’s still leaking bad and if I’m looking at it from underneath, I can see a steady drip coming from right next to the tensioner. So if you’re looking at the tensioner from the passengers side, it looks like that drip is somewhere to the left of the tensioner. My next thought was the Vanos Check Valves which are near that location. They are cheap enough, so i was planning to swap them as a next step. The car has 120k so probably not a bad idea to change them out as regular maintenance. I cleaned up the area as best as I could but it’s tough to see in there. I plan on getting a borosocope and tackling this next weekend when he is home from school. Any other thoughts or does it sound like I am on the right track.
Thanks,
Ron
