this is on a car i am looking to purchase, and it's not local to me so I can't inspect myself.

With this option set, is bluetooth/usb available on the HU itself (requiring necessary cables + coding only) or would I need to check the trunk for the correct MULF module?

Looks like it has a combox which will do usb
with programming and cable to center console from
combox.

You can't get streaming bluetooth with the OEM stuff
without Idrive as far as I know.

perfect! i was only really after USB connectivity as bluetooth audio quality for streaming leaves something to be desired. I will look for the codes to modify and the particular cable needed.
