I'm still going to try and make it but if indeed there is a location change of course I'm not gonna complain. How often do you have surrey meets??

The last Surrey meet was the last weekend of November. Don't know when the next one will be, but I don't think it'll be too far away. Maybe towards the end of February once the weather gets a little better?? I'll ask Paulie, the master of the Surrey meets...

I'd be up for the Surrey meets as it fits in better with work commitments. We should try and see what's what with that and try and come up with a date ASAP since peeps have already started with a thread for one which is in March! What y'all sayin??

Basically, we have two main meets a year, dubbed UKx. Normally these are in the Midlands somewhere, south bits of the Peak District, Derbyshire, places like that. Because they are designed to appeal to as many people as possible, and always involve an overnight stay on a Saturday night, we need to plan quite a bit in advance!! Hence why the planning for UK7 starts now. Suitable accommodation needs to be arranged, depending on numbers turning up, activities organised, places to eat booked etc etc... There's a fair bit of work involved...

The small meets like the Surrey meet, or the Northern meet that some folks did a few weeks ago, by their nature attract fewer people, and normally just involve a Sunday morning, lunch in a country pub somewhere, then an afternoon blast before heading home. Therefore, don't need as much planning!!!!

I'm sure a Surrey meet will be organised in the very near future... but you should see if you can make the UK7 meet at Santa Pod as it's a good opportunity to meet a lot of the most active forum members...

UK7 will be a little further south than the last few meets (Santa Pod is 40 miles south of Melton Mowbray, which I think is where UK6 was ??). But the area around there is lovely, some great driving roads, nice places to stay, and good places to eat. It certainly can't be any further south (ie. Milton Keynes / Luton, or close to Evolve !) but if there are people who want remaps and things like that, then I'm sure Anthony from Speedreligion.net and the guys from Evolve would come along to offer their wares...??

I know some of the more northern members will think it's a little too far south to travel... I think UK8 will have to be a bit further north than normal in order to compensate!!! Fair deal for you northerners ??!!!
Sounds fair - I'll try and make it. Would be good if speed religion or evolve could make it - anyone else want a remap?

I'm definately an e9x owner as long as an e92 M3 counts! When I asked this I had every intention of coming for the weekend to meet everyone but....'er in drawers has just reminded me that I'm dragging her to Switzerland for the Geneva motorshow that weekend. Doh!

I will attend the next meet after that and would have also come along to the 'ring but for the fact I'm already going in May (twice in two months would be a bit extreme!).

So thanks for the 'invite' Carlos but please let me know when the next meet is.

I'm going on Friday 15th and coming back Sunday 17th - should be good as its not a holiday period and hopefully the track won't be that busy. I'm staying in a hotel right near the track but not sure if thats good or bad yet! (when I went last year I stayed about 25 miles away which was a pain in the arse).

Why do you ask...fancy tagging along?
