Voice control not working after CCC replacement

2008 335i. My CCC was replaced by a local indy shop who have a lot of coding experience. I purchased the new CCC from BMW NA (I think they sell rebuilt units, but it looked new). After it was replaced, my voice button on the steering wheel doesn't work. Brought it back and they cannot figure it out - told me that button is "not communicating" with CCC. Rebooting CCC made no difference. Language specified in iDrive is English. I like to use the voice control for phone calls and switching radio, etc. Anybody experienced this before? Thanks

the indy shop should get Voice FSC for your car VIN from old CCC unit or official dealer can download it from BMW Intranet and upload to new module
if you performed replacement at dealer or more professional indy shop this should be done automatically
