Genuine stereo Bluetooth

How easy is it to get the Bluetooth working on a genuine bmw stereo? Is it a case of just getting a module for it?
Appreciate any help you can give.

Which one there are a couple of different types of idrive
and in europe there may be more than one type of radio.
The year of the car also makes a difference .
On cars that have a cdc option you can use one of these

On the newer types of idrive you can retrofit a combox.
