Hi guys. I recently purchased a 2009 BMW 335i M-Sport and I'm definitely considering upgrading the head unit. I was wondering is someone could explain to me some of the benefits of going with Dyanvin over some of the competition. It seems to carry higher price tag but I'm not necessarily afraid to spend more if I understand what I'm getting over other products. They all seem to be Android based. As an example, the guy I bought car from sent me this product that he was considering before selling - https://www.dvdgpsnav.com/android-bm...ch-screen.html

Biggest thing is it allows you to retain and work with stock setup & give you a stock look.
The newest version is the N7 pro. I have the n7. I wish I had the pro 🥵. It is what it is. Knowing what I know now, after basically gutting the entire system and redoing it, I'd probably either get the N7 pro or an Alpine w960 or w970. |

I received and installed my N7 Pro from Jeff in my E90 LCI with Harmon Kardon (L7) sound. Below are my rambling thoughts.
The installation was very easy, my only issue was finding constant power. From Jeff's DIY on the first page, he used fuse 70 which was taken on mine. After some trial and error, I used fuse 68. The fit and the sound quality are easily my favorite features. It looks like my car came from the factory with the N7 installed. It sounds as good as the oem setup that the car came with. Streaming bluetooth quality is better than all of the previous setups that I tried. The biggest letdown for me is the screen quality. I suspect they were a bit aggressive with the anti-glare coating on the screen. As a result it makes everything look slightly fuzzy. It reminds me of looking at someones phone that has a cheap plastic screen protector that is smudged up with greasy fingerprints. The screen is still usable, but comparing it to the factory nav in my 4runner and the 8 year old JVC in my F150, the Dynavin screen looks much worse. I don't have an iPhone to test, but using Android Auto works well. Using AA has its far share of quirks, but I believe that's just the AA functions and not a Dynavin issue. A couple things to note, turn off the equilizer on your phone, otherwise AA audio quality is hot garbage. In the AA dev options, you can adjust the output resolution that helped with the screen quality. You can't skip songs with the steering wheel controls in AA, only adjust volume. The usb charged my phone at ~750mA, I was hoping for a bit more. |

Installed the D70 Pro into my 2006 325i. Nice update to the electronics. Really like OEM look of unit particularly the white font on function buttons. Nice integration of the OBD to look at what is going on in the car and of course steering wheel controls. My wife has had that jealous look at my Carplay in my MK7 GTI so I updated her BMW. I wanted the rear view camera in her car so she didn’t’ run into any of my bikes.
Install was not too bad. Make sure the clips are installed so the bend is up so they are aligned with the entrance hole. Seems obvious in retrospect. I had to move my heated seat controls and removing the cigarette lighter was a challenge, resolved using a couple dental pics into lighter keeps and pushing up. Rear camera install was somewhat challenging, fishing the connector through wire harness from trunk lid to body and figuring out how the flashing keeps with the channels work (pop them out to remove flashing, then remove entire grommet, slide into flashing channel and then re-install grommet with flashing). The unit came with audio setup external amplifier at maximum which resulted in insufficient audio level resolution as either too load or muted. Lowered that to mid-level in audio setup and all is well. Nice touch having ability to adjust the levels for the different inputs in audio setup. Had some audio distortion when CarPlay was in use which was resolved with firmware update. Real happy with modernizing the electronics and OEM look and integration. Also appreciated the forum discount from Jeff. Last edited by George Ab; 08-06-2019 at 05:16 PM.. |

I'm looking to replace my professional head unit with something like this since the display on it doesn't work most of the time.
Is the N7 Pro worth the price? It seems the newest Eonons are less than half the price and have most, if not all, of the same functions. Given that I'm asking in the Dynavin thread, I'm expecting some bias. But at the same time, I'm looking for someone to talk me into paying the premium for the Dynavin, and talk me out of the (seemingly) more cost effective options. Thanks! The N7 runs DynOS, which as far as I can tell, is a customized Android distro. |

Just wanted to get confirmation that Android Auto and Apply Carplay will work natively with the new N7 Pro. There is no adapter required, just plug the phone into the N7 Pro's USB inputs and it will launch AA/ACP, correct?

There is an inline USB dongle but its included and goes behind the dash on the back of the unit. Yes you plug in the phone and it will automatically launch.
For you guys asking about N7 firmware updates, we are currently on 1.0.5.8, released around a month ago, fixed a bug with specific samsung phones and bluetooth. Check with your dealer if you need it. The N7 Pro units are out now, have been shipping for a few months. Last edited by jeffb335; 11-21-2019 at 02:24 PM.. |

Hello,
I have E93 2008 with Dynavin N6. Is there a way to install Android Auto? I have a spare USB socket sitting in the glovebox. PS: I bought the car with Dynavin N6 so I don't have much info :/ Thanks for all the answers!!! |

Hey guys, I have following problem with my Dynavin N6: the radio hangs up sporadically and the screen turns white. You can see the problem very well in this video:
It seems to be a common problem with the N6, in the comments on YT and in some threads about Dynavin I read that there was an issue with the motherboard and Dynavin apparently repaired many devices in the warranty period. Users who were affected reported that there were cold solder joints on the motherboard, but unfortunately I don't see any. Does anyone know the problem, in which area should I look for it? |

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it a lot. Unfortunately I’m out of guaranty period, my N6 is now 4.5 years old, so I assumed that official support for that device could be quite expensive for me. My idea was to try fixing it myself, I just hoped that some experienced owners could point me to the right junctions that I can solder to fix it. Do you maybe have some insights about the affected board area?
