I am looking for a good/high quality shop in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham area. Has anyone used a reputable performance and repair shop in the Triangle area that you trust ?

Shade Tree Mechanics in Raleigh
Bimmer Performance Center in Raleigh

I'm not familiar with shops in Chapel Hill or Durham.

I always go to bimmer performance center. Great group of people that are all enthusiasts and take great care of your car.

They can do pretty much anything to my knowledge. If they can't, or if someone else can do it more efficiently and inexpensively (like my exhaust they recommended an actual muffler shop for my custom setup) then they won't hesitate to refer you someplace they trust.

Taking my 135 into Import Performance next week (plugs, oil). Come highly recommended from co worker. Anyone else use them ?

You def. want to go with Bimmer Performance Center when it comes to BMW's if you are in the Triangle area.

Anyone have any experience with Torque Automotive ? It is right near Bimmer Performance. Service $ quoted by Bimmer Perf. was quite a bit higher.

Import Performance did a great job with my car. The staff was very nice and service was completed in reasonable time. Owner advised they are able to perform all services including installation of aftermarket mods.

No. Do you have JB4? If you update to the latest firmware, you can just do a menu 1/7 "reset adaptations" they have now set it up to where this will register your new battery for you.

I've had brake service performed at Torque Automotive; service was fast and friendly. The owner, Simon, was attentive and informative prior to and during my appointment. I'll be returning for future repairs; I wholeheartedly recommend.

I've had a lot done at Bimmer Performance Center- they're also building an N54 motor right now. They have a lot of experience with N54s and do dyno tuning

I use Eurotech RTP. Owner Jon is a BMW Master Tech. He has worked on my '11 335d for maintenance and repairs. and now he is in charge of my '15 CPO 335i. Great Service.
