places to buy track tires (Detroit area)

Hello fellow DTW'ers,

I am in need of a fresh set of track tires for the 2011 season and was wondering where in Detroit Metro area is a good place to get tires.

I'm looking at either
Toyo R888's
Nitto NT-01

I did some rough price checks between Canada and USA and there is no comparison in price (almost double!)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

From visiting Tire Rack-I don't think they sell Nitto's or Toyo's

There is a shop in the Detroit Metro area that is an authorized Toyo dealer. The owner is a racer as well (he has a Panoz GT1). The shop is mufflers and more in Keego Harbor. The owner caters to racers. www.mufflersandmore.net

, I'll check them out. I think I saw him at a track day one time at a 3Balls Event.

Just go to Belle Tire.

I know they sell Toyo not sure about Nitto, but you may need to call in and ask them to order them in. Normally takes 2-3 days.

Prices can't be matched in Canada... everyone I know drives over to Detroit to get tires.

do price comparisons between discount and belle tire to get the best price. they both sell nitto/toyo AFAIK.
