No B'stone RE050A Tyres in 255/40R17

Was doing some repairs and maintenance to the car after my wife drove it and noticed the rear tyres were bald as. Called into the Bridgestone tyre joint across the road from work to book the car in to get them replaced and he scratched his head and stared at the computer for a while and said "That size and profile doesn't exist". He made a few phone calls and let me know that that size had been discontinued. In the end he found a suitable replacement by a different brand, but I may need to budget for a new set of rims and tyres in a few years.

Depends on your budget and if you are looking for run flats or standard
Personally I would run standard as they give a much better level of ride comfort
Yokohama Advans are good mid range tire that I use for my 335
Avoid budget $100 tires imo

The runflats in a 17inch aren't too bad for ride comfort, so I'm sticking with them. Plus it's insurance for my wife's driving, she has driven flat tyres to the rim previously.
