Hey guys!
First time posting on this section, my question has probably been beaten to death but I'm having trouble finding the answer so here it goes! It's time to get rid of my dealer rft on my m sport wheels. Thought about getting some nice rims but wife wants a Cartier love ring so I guess I'm plastidipping and getting some spacers instead.. I need new tires, the rears are worn badly, unevenly as well and it's making a wah wah wah sound around 70mph. My plan is to get new set of tires and an alignment. I've called around and here are my options. Hankook v12s--780$ installed Bfg comp2(sumthinglikethat)- 670$ installed Bridgestone RE760 sport- 670$ installed Which one is the best bang for your buck for a daily driver but also performs??. I do not track but I do occasional pulls. I'm around 440whp and ok with that. I want some quiet and can last longer. I'm leaning towards the RE760s. Help please

I would have the tire place price match tire rack and the hankooks would be around the lowest priced tire compared to the others and they are the best. I just bought a new pair from Evans tire and they really know how to deal with customers and work on cars. I would recommend Evans tire also for this job.

I've tried all 3 at various times. The BFG Sport Comp 2s are probably the best handling tire of the group. They also run wider than the other two. Evo2s and the RE760s are about the same imo as they both ride better than the SC2s, but don't handle as well and have squishier sidewalls. The SC2 was a common Auto-x tire back in the day.

I never noticed it, but I ran them in the front on my catless S/C M3 I can say they rode pretty comfortably (275/35/18).

Shouldn't be all that bad but it is recommended to have an Alignment after changing tires. Normally an alignment check is done after the tire change and they'll show you the print out and tell you if it's bad etc. This may depend on your installer however.

I have a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2s on my car. I like them. They aren't loud while cruising on the freeway, but they'll give you feedback in the canyons when you're driving "spiritedly." Whatever decision you make, make it wisely...the couch can be a lonely place. ALso, like mentioned earlier, the Continental ExtremeContact DWs would be another good tire to consider.

Well today I just got the Bridgestone RE760 sport and an alignment and they are ok. I didn't notice a HUGE difference from ditching my RFTs like the forum likes to hype up. But it is a bit softer. More grip for sure.
But my car is still making a low pitching whining sound when going speeds between 60mph and up. I was hoping the tires would resolve the problem cuz I did have some uneven tire wear. The sound is less pronounced but still present on certain pavements. Should I start replacing the wheel bearings or just let it go? Do tires have a break in period where they get quiet ?

OMG I know what you mean! Took me forever to finally decide on the right specs and brand, but finally this past week I got a set of the V12's on my car and they seem great so far.

Assume you are referring to the rears, since the front always needs more camber. Rear camber is adjustable, so no, negative camber wear should not be normal. If you need to dial out a little rear camber, not all bad, as it may help a bit with the excessive understeer.
