Original engine bay look w/ OEM microfilter cowls/covers-

Interesting... now you can remove your intake without the hassle of taking off the cowl; however, I prefer the look of the original cowl over the M3... makes it look much cleaner.

No real benefit. I did notice that this mod shed a couple pounds off from the original set-up. I was getting tired of the cluttered engine bay, and instead of leaving it all off, I went with this alternative. I personally like it better. Theres alot more room under there now and it looks more open like the engine bay from my previous car which was also an inline-6.

seems like a waste of money to me, shed a few lbs....lol, you take a dump and you lose more weight than the micro filter housing thingie

lol i will do whatever it takes to lose weight on my car, take a shit or get this filter, or better yet why not both. Cool mod OP looks like its easier to install intakes with this setup

I paid well under 100 bucks for the pieces... the damn mircofilters cost me 70 bucks though...
